All Natural Beauty Products Made At Home

The awesome term in the beauty industry right now is "all natural beauty products" – and for good reason. Women (and men) are becoming more aware of the ingredients coming into the products that they use and many prefer simple and natural beauty treatments.

There are – fortunately – ways for us to make our own natural beauty products at home and there are three major advantages to this:

1. We know exactly what is happening there, because we make them ourselves!

2. Most of the ingredients are already in our cupboards and refrigerators.

3. These are big money savers! For only a few dollars, you could have a homemade facial mask that lasts for you a few months.

Here are some recipes for homemade natural beauty products:

Banana Mask:

Here is a great way to get rid of these slightly ripe bananas:

  • 1 cup of plain yogurt
  • 1 tbsp. Honey soup
  • 1 banana

Mix the three ingredients in a bowl (crush the banana) so that the final mixture is sticky sticking. Apply to your face (you can also apply on your neck and chest) and leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse your face well with lukewarm water and dry. Do not keep any extra of this, throw away all the overs left.

Soothing Cleanser for Sensitive Skin:

  • 1/2 cup of oat flakes
  • plain yogurt

Mix the flour with the dough. oats with enough yogurt to "wet" the oatmeal a dough mixture. Smooth gently all over the face (avoid the eyes) and rinse well with warm water, then dry. Oatmeal is fantastic for soothing irritated and fairly sensitive skin for those who can not tolerate regular cleansers. If it remains a mixture, seal in a tupperware container and refrigerate. Please be aware that it should not be kept longer than yogurt is supposed to be good for (check the yogurt container!).

House scrub:

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp. Vanilla extract tea

Allow the oil mixture to rest on the skin before rinsing for additional moisture. Rinse with lukewarm water and dry. Keep any residual mixture in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Do not keep more than a month. This will leave you feeling smooth and smelling fantastic!
