How to create a lighting design plan at home

The beautiful rooms include beautiful lighting designs, an important element in interior design. There are three things to consider when creating a good lighting plan for your room: function, ambience and harmony.

Illumination

Light is a natural resource we receive from the sun. We need good lighting in our homes to help us in our activities of daily living. Lighting can be natural, which occurs in the daytime or artificial, which is created through lighting design plans.

Natural Light

Direct light comes from the sun, while indirect light comes from the whole sky. The light can be clear or filtered depending on the orientation of the sun and the time of day. It is important to analyze the natural light of each room when creating your interior design plan, as well as the number of windows and the width. For example, north-facing rooms provide cold, bluish sunlight that will be cooler and darker, requiring additional lighting. Exposures to the south and west will be yellow and warmer and will be lighter. The goal is to have as much natural light as possible in your home.

Artificial Light

When natural light is not possible, such as in cloudy weather, evening or night, due to lack of windows or the orientation of windows causing low light we want to compensate for this with various sources of artificial light throughout the house.

Advantages of good lighting

Good lighting not only allows us to see, but it increases our visibility. Good enlightenment helps us to accomplish our tasks effectively. As we age, we need more light. Humans should be exposed to a specific amount of light each day for better physiological, neurobehavioral and sleep performance according to http://www.lrc.rpi.edu/programs/lightHealth/index.asp [19659002] Plan lighting

A good lighting plan includes the creation of function, ambience and harmony. You start by carefully analyzing your piece. What is the function of the room? Where are the work areas? What style and mood do you want to create? The work areas would require a working light, more direct, whiter and brighter. The accent lighting is as follows. It highlights special areas of your room that you may want to show such as: the silhouette of a plant, a beautiful painting or an art object.

The accent lighting can also add a little drama to a room. The accent lighting is a softer kind of lighting. It is always good to check your plan at night. Once you have task lighting and accentuation, if your room still has dark areas and needs additional lighting, add ambient lighting (general) to specific areas. Choose a fixture as a work of art. For example, a flare lamp is a light up. It adds soft lighting, a great way to bring drama into a room and brighten a dark corner.

Harmony

Fixtures have several styles. To create harmony, select devices that support the style of your room. In other words, if you have a modern room, choose a modern fixture. If traditional, choose traditional. You also want different types of lighting fixtures, such as ceiling mounted, wall mounted, table mounted, uplights and downlights. Choose different lighting directions and different heights for placement of fixtures as well as different intensities.

The beautiful rooms start with a good furniture layout. Beautiful lighting designs are well planned and thought out. I hope you have given a good start to creating your own lighting design plan. Thank you for reading my article.
