When I recently launched a new business focused on residential modifications for the elderly and disabled in the Atlanta, Georgia area, I was very pleased to see that the National Association of Home builders offered the courses I needed to get my degree. ) certification here in Atlanta, Georgia. I was able to complete all three courses in February of this year, thanks to the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association. The NAHB Certified In-Place Aging Program teaches individuals in business management, disabled accessibility aspects of architectural design, and the customer service procedures necessary to perform a full service. the design and installation of home modifications. There are three categories of aging in place. The first group includes more than 50 healthy elderly people, but wisely strive to renovate their homes as they get older. The second group includes people with progressive illnesses or disabilities who need to modify their homes to meet their growing accessibility needs. The last group aging on the spot is that of people who have had an accident and who need an immediate modification of their home when they come back from a rehab or a hospital . On-site aging specialists are trained to serve each of these three groups; able to serve seniors and people with disabilities while they seek to remain independent in homes that they have cherished for a long time.

Home assessments are conducted professionally by certified aging specialists. Home modifications are determined by assessing the needs of the disabled resident, and comparing the needs to the domestic spaces of Atlanta.
