Acne vulgari s is also known as acne in adolescents. It normally occurs with the onset of puberty in men and is thought to coincide with increased testosterone production. Also known as cystic acne, this common problem of skin care in humans has always existed and is generally known by skin bruises. Some of them include blackheads, pimples and even just the scaly red skin.
Vulgaris acne scars
Often, acne will produce scars on the skin. This scarring can also cause mental damage in some people. Since acne usually begins in adolescence while there is already a lot of social discomfort, many men feel very depressed. They often feel that acne and acne scars prevent any chance of encounter and social life. In order to deter these feelings, many men will seek treatment at the first signs of acne.
Causes of Acne vulgaris
Since acne vulgaris usually starts with puberty for the most part, this is accompanied by an increase in the levels of production of 39; hormones. But it is not really certain if it comes from hormones or sometimes bodily changes associated with puberty. There is also a bacterium that is part of acne, can the bacteria be the cause of acne or is acne the cause of the bacteria? Acne vulgaris also tends to spread in families. If one of your parents has acne, it is much more likely that one or more of these children are also acne victims. The severity of acne vulgaris infection can also be passed on by parents or grandparents. If the case is serious for parents, it will also tend to be serious in children. There are also indications that your diet can affect the severity of your acne. Some foods such as dairy products and foods high in sugars can increase your acne. It has also often been associated with the consumption of many chocolates and the consumption of a lot of salt, but the research does not really show that this is a real cause.
Treatment of Acne vulgaris
There is a wide variety of drugs to treat acne. Some of them include a variety of antibiotics, creams, hormones, and so on.
The use of antibiotics is beginning to be limited because, as in all other areas of life, they have been overused and are no longer as effective as before.
Hormonal treatment is essentially for women and usually involves the administration of an oral contraceptive. Hormones seem to have a normalizing effect on the skin.
There are a lot of creams and topical medications that you can apply to your acne. One of the most popular is benzoyl peroxide. This is applied to the affected areas and works very well with very few side effects. The biggest problem is normally dry or red skin. There is also a greater chance of having a sunburn since your skin becomes more sensitive to the sun after use.
There are also several procedures that can be performed by a doctor or specialist. These include phototherapy, dermabrasion, laser therapy and even surgery.
Light therapy uses light and specific frequencies reduce the incidence of acne from 65 to 80%. It seems to work by creating free radicals that then kill the bacteria that causes acne.
Dermabrasion is a process of peeling the skin. This is done in various ways, some are chemical peels, and other methods use what is essentially wallpaper to remove the outer layers of the skin. This is normally done under some type of anesthesia.
Laser therapy has not yet been proven in long-term studies. It has however been approved for use in humans and shows promising results for some types of acne vulgaris.
Surgery is primarily used only to treat large cysts or boils. These can then be surgically developed to help bind the swelling and speed up the healing time.
