They both offer several varieties of bread. You know what people say, "variety" is the spice of life. Then the two loaves bring you this spice. Both brands produce multi-grain bread, whole wheat bread and multi-seed bread. Both breads are only sold in certain stores, which limits their availability. Now let's look at the differences. All breads from Food For Life (Ezekiel bread makers) use only sprouted ingredients and do not contain any flour. For all Dave's breads, the amount of added sugar averages 4 grams per slice. For those of you who are cutting down on carbohydrates to prepare this ripped body for the stage, you can choose Food For Life's bread exclusively for the 12 weeks prior to the show's preparation.
The five bread varieties of Food For Life do not use oil, while three varieties (Black Cracked Wheat, Blues and Rockin Rye) of Dave's Killer Bread use a small amount Canola oil pressed by a biological expeller. This small amount of oil in these two loaves adds a negligible amount of fat to the bread.
The final difference between the loaves is the size of the portion. All Food For Life breads have a standard portion of 1 slice equal to 34 grams. All Dave's Bread Killers have a standard portion of 1 slice and the grams range from 42 to 50 grams, the typical value being 45 grams.
With all this good information, what bread will you choose? ? There is another factor to consider: the cost of buying a loaf. On average, most stores offering one or the other of these breads will charge you a little under $ 6 for a loaf. When it comes to breads, it's a good idea.
For me, this is the main factor of my choice. Both bread companies make a comparable bread of good source of carbohydrates. My Costco store, located in my area, offers some varieties of Killer bread from Dave and, as they can make a big bulk purchase, they also offer the lowest price for a loaf.
