For those of you who are struggling with bad credit, did you know that you can repair your own credit quickly and easily? There is nothing that these so-called credit repair experts can do for you that you can not do for yourself except take your money (hundreds or even thousands of dollars). By simply writing protest letters and requesting an inquiry into the accounts of your credit report, you can make a dramatic, positive change in your credit history and significantly increase your credit score in 90 days.
The first thing you need to do is copy your credit report from the three major credit bureaus that are Equifax, Experian and Trans Union. There may be accounts on one report that do not appear on another. To have an accurate picture of your credit situation, you will need to review the three reports. You are entitled to a free credit report once a year or within 60 days of applying for credit. To get your free annual credit report, enter "free annual credit report" into a search engine and go to one of the websites.
Once you have received your credit reports, you must analyze standing accounts and which accounts are inaccurate or hurt your credit score. The next step is to write a letter challenging inaccurate or offensive accounts and send them to the credit bureaus. The credit bureaus then have 30 days to investigate your dispute and either delete accounts or check them. If they can not check them within 30 days, the law requires them to delete them from your report.
I was able to increase my score by almost 100 points in 90 days by doing exactly that. Once I started sending the protest letters, the accounts started to be deleted quickly. My first round of letters I deleted six accounts and even more in the following months. I kept sending letters every three weeks for 90 days. For the accounts that were audited, I simply replied with a letter addressed directly to the creditor requesting the name and number of the person who checked it and a copy of my consent to open the account. If this information can not be provided, they are required by law to delete the account.
So you have it. Keep your money in your pocket or even use it to pay for some collectible accounts. You can regain control of your credit with a little time and effort and increase your fico score significantly in the next 90 days. Get busy arguing now!
