Spring is just around the corner for us Australian girls, so it's time to start adding color to our pale winter bodies.
Creating the perfect fake tan starts with making sure you have a good foundation to start, so the day before use your favorite body scrub to remove dead skin cells in order to leave you a smooth skin.
Before applying your fake tan, put some moisturizer for the body on your knees, elbows and ankles. These areas are usually quite dry and can absorb more color than the rest of the body if they are not properly hydrated first.
Important: Make sure your moisturizer for the body does not contain mineral oil or petroleum products as they will prevent the fake tan from reaching the skin (since they create a barrier waterproof) and you will have white knees and ankles – not a good look at it.
Start with your thighs and move your legs in a circular motion, leave the knees and ankles to last when you have more than a small amount on your hands.
Ride up to your stomach, then chest, and on the front of your arms. When you have only a little left on your hands, cover the inner region of your arms and get under your arms and on the sides of your body.
If you can reach, apply your tan on your back, neck and down.
Finish with your face starting with the cheeks and nose, around the chin and finally the forehead. Do not forget the area under the chin that is often missed.
Make sure you wash your hands so that you do not have a fake tan inside your hands.
And that's it! You just apply the perfect fake tan just in time for spring in Australia.
