If you had to imagine the proportions and shape of your idea, you probably have a picture of broad shoulders and a narrow waist (or at least you should have that picture in your head). But you do not focus on the exact size of your shoulder relative to your height.
To calculate the ideal size of your shoulder, you must first know your ideal waist size. BUT to know your ideal waist size, you must start with your height. The calculation goes from your waist to your waist up to your shoulders.
Your ideal waist size will be between 45% and 47% of your height. In other words, if you're 70 inches tall, your ideal size is between 31.5 and 33 inches.
This calculation is based on bone structure and low body fat. Once you have determined your ideal size, the next calculation is your shoulders.
Based on all the research on proportions and physical attraction, we know that the ideal ratio of shoulder height is a ratio of 1: 1.618. To return to our example 70 inches tall and of a size of 31.5 to 33 inches, your shoulder circumference would be 1.618 times larger than the size of your idea or 51 to 53 inches.
The size is in its ideal range. In other words, having a size that represents 50% of your height and your shoulder is 1.618 times larger than it will not produce the proportions you are looking for. And in fact, you will have a hard time building your shoulders at this point to make up for the bulk of your height. This will also produce a shorter stalky look that is not ideal. Your best figure should start with your height, otherwise there is no way to determine which waistline and shoulders are too thin.
