How To Give Yourself the Perfect Facial At Home

A spa treatment that includes a facial works wonders for your mind, your body, and your soul, not to mention all the wonderful things that it does for your skin and your face. There are treatments to clean the pores, tighten the skin, reduce wrinkles and restore a youthful glow. While spas can be expensive, you can treat yourself to a facial at home whenever you want. You can choose from a few simple recipes to create the home that suits you best.

Illuminate Your Skin

There is nothing simpler than a single ingredient facial mask. A papaya is all you need to restore youthful luminosity to your face. Just cut a papaya in half and remove the seeds and pulp. Of course, you can nibble the pulp, which is delicious and very healthy. Take the skin and, after cleaning your face, rub the juices from the inside on your face. Let it dry for about 15 to 20 minutes, and rinse with lukewarm water. This twice-weekly facial treatment will brighten your skin, diminish fine lines, reduce sun spots and give you a younger look.

Soothing Damaged and Dry Skin

For some women, the moisturizer is not enough to heal their dry skin. A great home facial for dry skin is composed of two tablespoons of honey and a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar or lemon juice. Simply combine the ingredients and apply on your own face; Leave on for about 20 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water followed by a splash of cold, brisk water. Once done three times a week, this treatment moisturizes your skin and helps repair the damage caused by the sun and the elements.

Exfoliate Your Skin

Exfoliation is an important part of your skin care regimen. It eliminates old dead cells that inhibit the production of new cells and prevent you from enjoying the natural glow that accompanies radiant skin. A facial at home is easy to do and ideal for doing this. Open a packet of instant oatmeal and add just enough water to make a paste and cook as if you were having breakfast. For this, add a combination of a teaspoon of honey and a teaspoon of olive oil. Use your mixture as a scrub, applying it on your face in small circles, then rinse well. When it is used twice a week, oatmeal will effectively exfoliate your skin, while the other ingredients will serve as a natural moisturizer.
