The 14-car luxury train is equipped with all the modern amenities that are the hallmark of these luxury trains. The two larders at Heritage On Wheels – Maharaja and Maharani – serve delectable cuisine to the passengers who savor them as the train winds its way to its many destinations.

Many passengers after savoring the sumptuous cuisine settle into the luxury lounge bar which features many Indian and international liquor brands. Heritage On Wheels begins its journey from Jaipur and takes passengers to Bikaner, Haat, Gajner, Taal Chhapar, Ramgarh and Nawalgarh before returning to the state capital.

Fairy Queen

This is yet another luxury train that makes visiting touristic hot spots in India a pleasurable experience for both aware and affluent tourists. Operational from October to March, the Fairy Queen begins her journey on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. This heritage train has a 50-seat AC coach. The Karnataka Tourism Development Corporation, Golden Chariot, is the latest in India's luxury train service fleet, and covers the various destinations within the Karnataka.

Taking its name from the stone chariot of Hampi's ruins, the Golden Chariot begins its journey from Bangalore, the state capital, through Srirangapatnam, Mysore, Kabini Shrine and Shravanabelagola. From there he leaves for Belur which is associated with the 11th century Hoysala architecture, Halebidu, Hampi, Badami, Aihole, Pattadakal and Shravanabelagola, before culminating in Goa.

The route allows to see palaces, wildlife and beaches. The Golden Chariot promises a golden experience with privacy, comfort and a host of lively attractions throughout the seven night and eight day trip.

The interiors of the train were inspired by the opulence of Mysore and Hoyala architecture, and each of the cabins is equipped with wi-fi, LCD TV, desk and wardrobe. A lounge bar and two restaurants (Nal and Ruchi), a business center and wellness facilities are also on board.
