Natural Skin Care And Beauty – The Steps You Need To Know

With everything going green these days, natural skin care has never been so popular. Skin care companies are adding natural-based products to their product offerings. Most beauty shops that you pass have natural skin care products in the window. However, the real natural skin care is more than just using natural products or homemade skin care remedies. It's a lifestyle routine.

Natural skin care is a natural beauty and vice versa. However, it is affected by more than what you put on your skin and if this product is natural. Practicing natural skin care involves a lifestyle that practices healthy habits all the time. If you eat poorly, never exercise and do not smoke, then there is no natural product or other that will keep your skin young and healthy. The most important factor to maintain a beautiful complex starts from the inside. In other words, the natural beauty is deeper than the skin.

Six factors that can influence the way your skin looks

  1. Diet: What you put. It is just as important as any product you could put on your skin. A balanced diet rich in vegetables and fruits, low in sugar, low in bad fats, high in calcium and abundant water, will do more to keep you a natural beauty than any store-bought product.
  2. Physical activity and good sleep: Exercise is great for the skin. It promotes a good blood flow to the dermis and brings more oxygen to the skin. On the other hand, getting enough sleep is just as necessary for beautiful skin especially as we get older. An average adult should sleep from 8 to 9 hours if possible.
  3. Environment: The outdoor and indoor environment in which you spend your days can affect your skin in many ways. The sun is the most obvious. UVA / UVB rays can do a lot of damage to our skin up to defective collagen layers. With all the great sun protection choices available, there is no reason not to protect your skin. The wind can dry and your skin and smog can leave a thin layer of dirt on your skin; so be sure to moisturize and keep your skin clean. Even air conditioning and heating can affect the health of your skin.
  4. Heredity: Skin or skin problems may occur in the family. If you get a beautiful complexion from your grandmother, do not take it for granted. Your skin will always need proper care. The same goes for skin problems. Do not feel like you can not do anything. Following the recommendations here and finding a good skin care system can improve or mitigate these problems collectively.
  5. Stress: Avoid stress as much as possible. Too much stress can affect your overall health, including the appearance of your skin. Practicing natural skin care includes reducing or eliminating the stress of your life.
  6. Medication: Some medications can affect your skin, sometimes resulting in rashes, dry skin or acne. Always consult your doctor if you are taking medications that seem to change your skin. Hormonal medications and some antibiotics are examples.

Other tips for a natural skin care lifestyle are:

1. Give your body an exfoliation with a dry brush.

The exfoliation with dry brush removes dead skin cells and helps to detoxify the skin. Dry brushing also improves lymphatic and blood circulation. Gentle brushing is also relaxing for your nerves and can help reduce puffiness.

2. Try to avoid sugar overload in your diet.

Eating sugar is considered one of the main causes of premature aging. Too much blood sugar can cause a process known as glycation. Glycation is when a molecule of glucose (sugar) attaches to a protein molecule. When this happens, the protein molecule is damaged and a new molecule is formed and called final products of advanced glycation or AGE. AGEs damage collagen in skin, cartilage and ligaments and cause loss of elasticity. This causes sagging and wrinkles.

3. Keep things moving.

A lethargic circulation affects your skin leaving it deprived of nutrients. Inactivity can leave you swollen, puffy, increase acne and encourage cellulite. So, if you have a job that leaves you sitting all the time, it is very important to use your breaks and move. Speak a few laps around the desk. Join a gym club. Go out on weekends. Good circulation will improve your skin and your whole body.

4. Rev Up Your Digestion

A good digestive system is good for your skin and your total well-being. People with skin problems often suffer from digestive problems such as constipation or an imbalance between good and bad bacteria.

To stimulate your digestion, try to drink enough water. The water makes things move in the colon, which is always important. Then make sure to eat enough fiber in your daily diet. In 2002, the Food and Nutrition Council of the National Academy of Sciences recommended that women aged 19 to 50 years need 25 grams of fiber per day and over 50, or 21 grams of fiber. For men, ages 19 to 50, 38 grams of fiber is recommended. Men over 50 years old must include 31 grams of fiber in their diet.

To add fiber to your diet, be sure to include whole grain products, cauliflower, apples with skin, nuts and seeds, prunes, beans, legumes and ground flaxseed.

5. Eat good fats

Good fats are essential fatty acids like omega-3s and omega-6s. Your body can not live without these essential fatty acids. AGEs are needed to make cell membranes, hormones and other chemicals for the body. They protect your heart and fight inflammation. AGEs can help people with dry skin, acne and eczema. Essential fatty acids can be found in cold water fish like salmon or sardines, linseed oil, walnut oil and supplements.

Here are some additional steps that you should include in your natural system of care and beauty:

  • Brush your teeth after each meal
  • Get pampered with a facial or steam
  • monthly or more monthly body treatment
  • Always protect your skin from the sun and the elements
  • Use natural products for skin care
  • Be happy and confident! A smiling face always shows your inner beauty.
