Sleeping Beauty

[ad_1]

It goes without saying that lack of sleep can exhaust everyone. It influences our ability to think, work, analyze and respond to everyday events. In addition, it is the easiest way to become a complete psychopath. Many researches around the world have proven the harmful effects of sleepless nights (for those who are interested in detailed scientific data and figures, the Division of Sleep Medicine at Harvard Medical School publishes a lot of information on various searches on their website). This article, however, is dedicated to the connection between sleep and beauty. And let me be direct from the beginning: the connection is undeniable.

Sleep is one of the most important physiological processes. While we sleep, our skin cells are at work: they are renewed almost twice as fast as during the day. As a result, the skin gets rid of many toxins and wrinkles and enriches with collagen. The lack of this protein (collagen) is the reason for dry skin, lines, cellulite, dull hair, etc. The fast process of skin renewal is no. One reason to keep your skin clean and remove any makeup before going to bed.

Looking through various materials and research data to back up my statements in this article, I've discovered an interesting fact: sleeping can be helpful to those trying to weight. It turns out that lack of sleep can cause an imbalance of the hormones responsible for burning calories. Therefore, a healthy sleep is a great addition to diets and workouts.

But what is a healthy sleep? Is it possible with the busy schedules of modern life? In my opinion, it is possible when:

-you spend enough time to sleep (of course!). It's a fact that an average person should sleep

7-8 hours a day. However, I think you could go out with 6 hours if necessary. Some researchers say that according to our biological rhythms, the best time to sleep is between 11pm and 5am; and it is absolutely necessary to sleep between 2 am and 4 am, as these are the deepest hours of sleep.

Do not eat just before going to bed. It's not even about calories. If you load your stomach before sleeping, it will not rest at night. If you are hungry late, eat at least 2 hours before going to bed and choose light foods such as fruits, vegetables, yogurts, etc.

-It is important to sleep on cotton sheets (or other natural material). Natural fabrics allow our body and skin to breathe at night.

– Keep the air fresh in your bedroom.

– Relax before going to bed. Boring but useful! A hot bath or shower, a cup of mint tea, a relaxing massage or a good sex will work perfectly. They all bring a lot of positive emotions and give your body in rest mode.

Sleep well and stay young and beautiful longer!
