I love smoothies! They're so fast and easy with a Cuisinart Smoothie Maker, the 700-watt Cuisinart CBT-700 die-cast mixer. You simply add the ingredients, mix and you get a good meal in no time. It is important that your blender is strong enough to blend in just about anything because these days we tend to add seeds, etc., to our smoothies.
In South Africa it is summer now and it is time for smoothie! A very tasty variation on one is to make a fruit cube with your blender. It's very easy to do and it's very good.
Making a fruit ice cream takes a little planning. You have to cut and freeze the fruit in advance and then you use the frozen fruit to make a very tasty frozen drink. I like to use strawberries, they are so tasty and the color is just adorable.
Here is how I make my strawberry ice cream:
- Freeze a good amount of strawberries, but you have to freeze them flat so you can add them one at a time through the opening on the top (what are you calling it?)
- Now, I'm adding whole milk to the machine (I do not really measure it, I'm pouring just about a cup.) I added a few spoons of plain yogurt
- Honey to soften it, you can use a sweetener, but I'm not too sure of the health hazards of the sweetener Then I start to mix and add the strawberries one at a time until I have the desired consistency. ]
That's it, you can of course add what you want, it's the fun of a smoothie, your imagination is the limit.
What you should not try and so with your mixer I did it with disastrous results, that's mixing soup with it, it's supposed to take it, and that will take a long time, but one day the glass pitcher will simply say: o far and no further! To mix soups and sauces, I recommend a hand blender. Hand blenders are cheap and with most of them you can mix the soup or sauce in the jar, no extra dishes.
Apart from that, I do not have any other potential problems that I want to want you to have.
Of course, your Cuisinart Smoothie Maker, the 700-watt Cuisinart CBT-700 die-cast mixer, will also produce perfect, natural smoothies.
